The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a two-year Paramedical Science curriculum focusing on detecting and treating various illnesses by analyzing human fluids such as pericardial fluid, urine, and blood samples. The curriculum teaches biochemistry, pathology, blood banking, microbiology, laboratory equipment, and technology such as CT scanners, X-ray machines, and MRI machines. The two-year Program seeks to provide students with the knowledge and abilities needed to execute numerous tests essential for disease diagnosis, filling a need created by lab experts.
The diploma program for paramedical science has evolved. The course includes several subjects based on studying human body fluids such as urine, plasma, saliva, and so on. Individuals who complete this specialized Program are called Medical Laboratory Technicians (DMLTs).
